Your journal lives in a single database file on your device. Not on our servers. Not in someone else's cloud. Not monetized, not mined, not shared with any company — ever. There is no account to create. No terms of service granting anyone rights to your data. If we disappeared tomorrow, your data wouldn't notice.
When you make a change, your device encrypts it before it ever leaves. You hold the key — we never see it. The encrypted update passes through a simple relay to your other device, where only your key can unlock it. The relay can't read it. We can't read it. Nobody can read it but you.
This server is just a messenger that never opens the envelope. All encryption happens on your device before sync. We cannot read your contacts, meetings, or any personal information.
